Hunter Mountain Report

2-5-01

Another fine week on the snow. The rain last week did not effect the skiing (on the trail) at all. The snowmaking staff did a nice job surfacing the trails. However, cliff and helgate became the "standard" Sunday afternoon rinks!

42nd street was resurfaced and riding better than normal. 44 is starting to get a bit thin. With the big dump predicted for this week, it will only get better!!

For those who "took a walk" things could not be better. The thought that the snow was hurt by the previous weeks rain was WRONG! The pack got nice under and the 2-3 inches from Friday night gave us the dust-on-crust glory all weekend!
